Chris Harrison Permanently Exits And Walks Away From The Bachelor Franchise
Chris Harrison had “walked away” from the Bachelor Nation season 17 of ‘The Bachelorette,’ but now he will be leaving the franchise permanently, on the basis of a new report that has come out recently.
Chris Harrison was officially removed as the host of the Bachelor and its spin-offs like Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, ” according to Deadline.
It also claims that Chris now has exited the franchise “forever.”
Permanent Exit
After the scandal earlier in the year, Chris took a step back from his hosting gig, and did not return for season 17 of “The Bachelorette.”
But now Deadline is reporting that Chris is set for a permanent end of his work with the series.
Chris has also been the host of the show Bachelor Nation since the first premiere of “The Bachelor” in 2002. But, at the same time, the 25th of the season aired earlier this year, had gotten Chris forcibly involved in a controversial spot after he failed to publicly condemn a contestant’s past racist actions.
What Happened?
In the beginning of 2021 Rachel Kirconnell a Season 25 contestant was called out for photos that showed her attending an antebellum-themed party while she was in college. When Chris was asked what is his view on it, he rather justified and stood in her support.
Fans called out to Chris giving Rachel a clean chit rather than having to tell that she should have known better than to take part in the event, which will celebrate an era when racism was rife. He apologized, but the damage had already been done.
Replacement Of Chris
At the end of February, Chris confirmed that he would “step aside” from the franchise.
He was replaced by Emmanuel Acho of After the Final Rose on season 25 of The Bachelor, which aired in March. Chris also did not come back for season 17 of The Bachelorette, which aired on June 7. There, he was replaced by Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams.
