Chicago Bulls Ready To Reclaim Their Lost Glory?

The Playoffs are finally commencing. The Playoffs always are a roller coaster ride and unpredictable as it can get. That is what excites the fans the most. But one thing excites fans more than seeing the title favorites win and that is when dark horses come out victorious.

The Chicago Bulls who were doing really well in the beginning of the regular season had faced a lot of struggles towards the end. Due to which fans are really skeptical of how they are going to perform in the playoffs. Plus on learning that they are going to face the defending champions, the Milwaukee Bucks, it doesn’t help their case a lot.

Meet the players

DeMar DeRozan is clearly the best player on the team and watching him play certainly makes you fear him as an opponent. This season, he averaged 27.9 ppg, 4.9 apg and 5.2 rpg and was in the MVP conversations till the middle of the season.

Zach Lavine is the second leading scorer of the Bulls team. His athleticism and 3-point jumpers are a sight to behold. Lavine for the season has put up 24.4 ppg, 4.5 apg and 4.6 rpg. The fans thought that DeRozan’s and Lavine’s playstyle would clash but together they have formed one of the deadliest duo in the NBA.

Nikola Vucevic is anchoring the paint and is putting up 17.6 ppg, 11 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1 spg and 1 bpg. Patrick Williams has returned from injury and is putting defensive coverage for the Bulls. Ayo Dosunmu is currently filling in for the injured Lonzo Ball and has looked really good on the offensive end but could use some work on the defensive side.

Alex Caruso is leading the Bulls in steals(1.7 spg) with his hustle and tenacity on the court which pressures the opponents. Yet it cannot be said enough that the Bulls miss their point guard, Lonzo Ball as he provided them with scoring, playmaking and defense as he was putting up 13.1 ppg, 5.1 apg, 5.4 rpg and 1.8 spg, asserting himself on the court.

Playoff Trajectory

Let’s see what is in store for the Bulls in their Playoff journey, The Bulls have to face the Buck in the 1st round. If the Bulls don’t come out with everything they go, then it can easily be a 1st round exit for the Bulls. The Bucks are one of the title favorite and downing them will be a huge boost moving forward.

Making into the next round, they have to either go against the Celtics or the Brooklyn Nets. Again, if the Bulls do not bring out every trick up their sleeves that they got, then they have no hopes of beating these 2 title favorites. On one hand is the duo of Jayson and Jalen and on the other hand it is Kyrie and KD. How can they beat any of these teams, is a wonder.

If they make it to the Conference Finals, they have to go against, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors or the Atlanta Hawks. This will be an easier matchup for them as they have more chances of beating any of these 4 teams.

Making into the NBA Finals, the Bulls will have to face the victor of the Western Conference. They will be able to beat most of the Competitors with the exception of Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and Dennver Nuggets. These 3 teams are more dangerous than any of the other teams in the West and the Bulls have to give everything they got just to stand on the same stage as them.

The Bulls have a long hard road ahead of them and it never is easy to win. It takes dedication, good work ethic, great strategies and most importantly, the drive to win at all cost. The making of a champion is always a rocky road to the summit but when you reach it, then the whole world is looking upwards, marveling at your glory.
