Channel 4 has announced it will no longer be working with Ant Middleton because of his “behavior and personal conduct.
Last year, the SAS Who Dares Wins star faced criticism for commenting on Black Lives Matter and coronavirus protests.
‘Our Values Do Not Align’
In a statement, the channel said: “It has become clear that our views and values ââare not aligned.”
Ant Middleton also posted, saying he was “very excited about the future and what is coming this year”.
SAS: Who Dares Wins sees citizens use rigorous military training tests to test their physical and mental strength.
The full statement from Channel 4 states: “Ant Middleton will not be taking part in the upcoming SAS: Who Dares Wins series. Following a number of discussions Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again.”
Time To Move On
The 40-year-old said on social media that “he has decided it is time for him to move on with the SAS Who Dares Wins UK program”.
He added: “Great tribute to my DS – it has been a journey I will never forget. Thanks to everyone that took part and made the show what it is.”
“I’m really excited about the future and what’s coming up this year.”
Ant Middleton’s Controversy
In June, he apologized after calling Black Lives Matter protesters “absolutely scum” as he complained “extreme left” and the English Defence League’s “extreme right” taking to the streets.
Ant Middleton said he was “anti-racist and anti-violence” after deleting the tweet.
In March last year, he backtracked on his comments about the coronavirus after urging people to “continue as normal”.
He told his social media followers not to be “sheep” and said he did not believe the Government’s isolation advice applied to him because he was “strong and capable”.
The former soldier later said he was  “a bit insensitive towards the magnitude, the scale, of the crisis that’s happening in the UK”.
As well as SAS: Who Dares Wins, Ant Middleton also presented the programme’s celebrity spin-off, which has featured famous faces including 1Xtra presenter Yasmin Evans, reality star Joey Essex and ex-footballer Wayne Bridge.
