Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have, as usual, shown generosity and have opened their hearts to help those affected by the pandemic-stricken food and hunger crisis.
The celebrity couple have donated $ 500,000 to two organizations – Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.
Hunger-Fighting Dream Team
Those groups also benefit from one of the millions of dollars in donations to help fight poverty.
“We are honored and privileged to be able to continue our support of Feeding America and Food Banks Canada,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We know the struggles so many of our neighbors faced last year are not over, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help facilitate the important work of food banks across the US and Canada to be able to provide nourishing meals to people in need.”
In a statement posted on social media, Feeding America thanked the actors for “being our dream team to fight hunger.”
“Your second $ 500k gift will make a huge difference to people around the world,” wrote the organization.
Food Banks Canada also honored the couple, adding to Reynolds, “You continue to be not only our favourite Canadian, but also our favourite superhero. (sorry, Hugh Jackman).

Reynolds first met Blake Lively in early 2010 while filming Green Lantern, in which they co-starred. In October 2011, they began dating. The couple married on September 9, 2012 at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Blake Ellender Lively is an American actress. Lively is known for starring as Serena van der Woodsen in the CW drama television series Gossip Girl.
