The Cast of Don’t Worry Darling Halts Filming After Positive COVID-19 Test

Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling halts production after a member of the production was tested positive for coronavirus. The studio confirmed the news as it becomes difficult for any film to be shot.

The cast of the movie, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Florence Pugh, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, and Gemma Chan along with Olivia are all quarantined. The movie script is written by Carey and Shane Van Dyke and was rewritten by Olivia and Katie Silberman.

Like any other film set, the cast had also been following safety protocols as the positive test came forward during routine testing. However, the cast and crew refuse to reveal who tested positive for the virus. According to Deadline, it is not one of the members of the cast but to someone who was in close proximity to the person who is tested positive.

Which is why the shut down has been deemed as a necessary measure to figure out if anyone else from the cast and crew has also been exposed. However, according to Deadline, no one else has been tested positive at the moment.

The production for the film will have to be shut down for 14 days according to the standard quarantine period. According to Deadline, when the test came as positive, everyone on set isolated immediately. The production had started last month and was just a few weeks into filming.

The cast was spotted as fans went crazy over Harry Style’s new slick look. This will not be the first time productions had to be shut down for positive coronavirus tests. Tom Hanks had tested positive days before the filming for the Elvis Presley film directed by Baz Luhrmann, was going to start.
