Cannes Day 3: Deepika Padukone, Ashwariya Rai Glam Up the Red Carpet with a Dramatic Look

The global Cannes film festival has begun and the Indian celebrities are setting the red carpet on fire by putting their best fashion foot forward. The Indian celebrities are grabbing a lot of attention through their, fashionable attire. The 75th edition of the prestigious film festival had begun on May 17.

This year it is an honorable moment for India, as it has been chosen as the first ‘Country of Honour’ at Marche du Cinema. Just after that, actress Ashwariya Rai Bachchan grabbed all the attention and limelight as she marked her presence on the red carpet, wearing an extravagant gown.

The former Miss World was seen wearing, a breathtaking pink gown which was designed by Gaurav Gupta. Along with that the actress rounded off her look with matching accessories and styled her hair in loose waves with a side parting. For makeup, the actress was seen in winged eyeliner and glossy pink lips and defined eyebrows.

As soon as the actress walked the red carpet the photographs of her went viral as the comments under the photograph gained a lot of attention. One of the social media users wrote under the photograph, “Amazing color n wow!!,” while another user said, “Make way for the queen”.    

Whereas on the other hand actress Deepika Padukone also walked the red carpet, and mesmerized everyone with her look. The “Padmavat” actress graced the event in a blazing red Louis Vuitton gown which had a plunging neckline. The actress rounded off her look with, a statement diamond necklace and styled her hair in a loose messy ponytail. The 36-year-old actress was praised a lot by her fans for her look as soon as her photographs from the red carpet went viral, a fan wrote in the comments ‘Red Carpet Queen’. Whereas another fan wrote, “Red makes her more attractive.”

Actress Ashwariya Rai spoke on the red carpet about how the position of women is changing in the industry, and she went on to say, “We still have to shed light on the fact that you still need to give that push and continue to encourage women in the industry, in the films considering that films can’t do without women. Women have always been such an integral part of films. In front of the camera, behind the camera, and on the sides as part of the crew.”   

Deepika spoke about being the jury member 

Whereas Deepika Padukone also said about the prestigious position of being a jury member as she quoted, “After being an actor for 15 years, for your work to finally be recognised on a global platform such as this, and to be able to represent the country, obviously, there is a sense of gratitude and being extremely overwhelmed.”
