Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes Release ‘The Christmas Song’

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have surprised us with a deluxe album, Wonder Deluxe. Not only that we have been gifted with a sweet video that includes the couple.

Shawn released his fourth album recently and has a new deluxe version which includes two extra songs. The two songs have a cover of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and his collab with his girlfriend, The Christmas Song. The video was filmed by the couple themselves as they were seen dancing and playing with their dog.

Shawn and Camila gifted us with some PDA as they were singing the song happily under fairy lights, hanging around a cozy fire. The couple also dons festive red outfits while singing the track. “With love, Shawn, Camila, and Tarzan,” the screen reads at the end.

The Wonder singer would be using the duet to help those in need during the season. They would be donating $10,000 for every 10 million streams of the song. The Shawn Mendes Foundation will donate the amount to Feeding America.

His new Deluxe album also includes an acoustic version and Surf Mesa Remix of Wonder. This will be including the other six additional performances from Wonder: The Experience. This is the recent Livestream benefit by Shawn.

Mendes Opens Up About His Relationship WIth Camila

Shawn had opened up in one of his latest interview where he revealed the couple has discussed getting engaged. He said, “Yeah, absolutely,” as he shared he thinks if he is not willing to talk about that stuff then he kind of “check out” a little bit.

The singer shared, “I think for me it’s always been if I’m not willing to talk about that stuff then I kind of check out a little bit, and I don’t know … I think when you know, you know. She’s been one of my best friends since I was, like, 15 years old.”

The Mercy singer further added how he is aware that they are really young and he does not want to jump “insanely fast”. However, he shared when you find “your person” you would know that you have found your person.

Shawn Mendes gave us a lot of details about his relationship with Camila Cabello. His personal growth has been immense since he is with his girlfriend.

The singer opened up in an Apple Music Interview with Zane Lowe. He revealed how he thought himself to be sensitive and open about his battles with anxiety before. However, he shared how through his romance with Camila, he has discovered he wasn’t as vulnerable as he wanted to be.

“I went through a month where I couldn’t really even communicate with her because I was struggling with anxiety, and I didn’t want her to see me weak,” the 22-year-old “Wonder” singer said. He further shared how he was on the verge of ruining his relationship with her.

He explained after going through it you can tell the person you are struggling and it is hard for you to say this to them. The singer further said, “And everything starts building and growing and getting stronger, and the roots fortify, and you look around, and you’re like, ‘Oh, s–t.’ Bravery. That’s bravery. That’s strength.”

Shawn revealed how appreciating himself has been the key to their successful relationship. He shared how one cannot be the best version of a son, brother, boyfriend, or friend to anybody if one is not there for themselves. The singer said it is about watching out for yourselves, checking in on your heart, your space, and your energy.

The Stitches singer further shared how he and Camila started giving themselves more time which allowed them to give everything more time and space. He also shared that this is the first time he has fallen in love and the support of Camila in life enables him to see where it can lead.

“It really allows you to be like, ‘Okay, well, if I’m going to do this, I might as well be doing it for the right reasons and really, really, really enjoying it,’” the “If I Can’t Have You” vocalist said. “Otherwise, I’d just rather watch movies with you all day.”

Shawn dealt with some tough times at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic just like all of us. The singer faced uncertainty regarding his tour and making new music.

However, in an exclusive sneak peek of his interview with Zane Lowe, the singer opened up about the silver lining during those difficult times. He described how the pandemic, the isolation, and the quarantine has been terrifying and hard. But the singer also said that something really beautiful came out of it.

“It feels like growing up.”

Shawn said, “but something really beautiful for me came out of it, which was you’re not allowed to leave. Stillness.” He further revealed that he had been to Miami and was living with Camila Cabello and her parents, sister. The singer shared how he felt panic thinking he is not going to be able to make the album.

He continued, “And then when I started to settle into how nice it is to be in the same place every night, to have a movie time, to cook dinner with the family and to do laundry. I know it sounds really kind of silly but when you’ve been touring the world since you’re 15 years old, like, I don’t remember the last time I smelled laundry. It’s a nice smell. It’s a really calming smell. It feels like growing up.”
