BTS Taking The Fashion World By Storm, Individually

BTS has successfully continued to be global superstars as they grabbed two major partnerships in the luxury fashion world.

Recently, Dior announced the new global ambassador for their brand will be Jimin. The brand announced this partnership through social media and revealed how this partnership will strengthen Jimin’s relationship with the label. As per Dior, Jimin “exemplifies the timeless spirit and singularity of Dior.”

Jimin’s partnership with Dior does not come as a surprise as BTS has established a long relationship with the brand already. The band’s Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour had various stage costumes designed by Dior. Their clothes were designed by Kim Jones as he has been a longtime fan of the band.

Hence, Jimin being the global ambassador was an easy decision. Jones revealed, “I love BTS because they are really great guys and also super into fashion”. The designer shared that every member has their own personal taste and style which works well all together.

BTS continued with the big news as Valentino announced Suga as the newest member of the menswear DI.VAs, right after Jimin being Dior’s ambassador. DI.VAs is the brand’s group of global ambassadors which was launched back in 2022.

Pierpaolo Piccioli, the creative director of Valentino spoke highly of Suga to WWD. He revealed that the idol perfectly depicts everything DI.VA.s core stands for. Suga also shared his thoughts as he said described the brand as being supportive of diversity, something he vouches for.

The singer is said to be the leading face of Valentino’s upcoming menswear essentials campaign. This news comes after the band’s partnership with Louis Vuitton ended. The partnership was announced back in 2021 and saw many iconic fashion moments for BTS.

Even though that partnership ended, BTS’ members have continued to be involved with the label because they are huge fans of the brand. J-Hope was confirmed to be attending their fashion show of Men’s Fall/Winter 2023 fashion show on January 19.

Many brands have constantly tried to be linked with the South Korean band across various industries. However, with all of this, it looks like the best is yet to come for BTS.
