BTS V, also known as Taehyung, impressed viewers on the latest episode of tvN’s “Jinny’s Kitchen” as he showed off his newly acquired knife skills.
The show featured the last business day of the restaurant’s employees, including V, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yoo Mi, Park Seo Joon, and Choi Woo Sik.
The episode showed how the staff worked hard to achieve their sales goal of 12,000 pesos (about 780,000 won) and how they enjoyed a dinner party at a rented restaurant after closing.
One of the highlights of the episode was V’s impressive knife skills and his playful banter with Lee Seo Jin. V confidently sliced carrots and other vegetables, earning praise from Jung Yu Mi who said he looked like a professional chef. V modestly replied that he was amazed by his own improvement.
The banter between the interns and the owner added a touch of humor to the show. When V asked Jung Yu Mi if she had any cute socks, Lee Seo Jin wondered why it mattered if she wasn’t leaving the kitchen. V responded, “Because I’m an idol.”
“Jinny’s Kitchen” was a spin-off of “Youn’s Kitchen”, a popular series where Youn Yuh Jung and other celebrities ran a Korean restaurant abroad.
The show featured BTS V’s first appearance on a variety show as an intern, along with his close friends Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik, who are also famous actors.
The show received positive reviews from fans and critics for its heartwarming and humorous scenes of the staff interacting with each other and the customers.
It was revealed that the entire cast of Jinny’s Kitchen came together once again to shoot a special director’s cut episode which will be aired after the show ends.
