BTS Suga Confirms Jungkook Did The Vocal Guide For People Pt.2

Suga has confirmed that Jungkook sang the vocal guide for his latest song, People Pt. 2. The song, which features IU, is a pre-release track from Suga’s upcoming solo album, D-Day. In a recent interview with IU, Suga shared how he came up with the idea of collaborating with her and why he chose Jungkook as the vocal guide.

Suga explained that he wrote People Pt. 2 as a reflection on the complex and repetitive emotions that people experience in their relationships. He wanted to create a pop R&B song with a boom bap rhythm that would showcase his rap skills and IU’s vocals. He said that he had two options in mind for the vocal guide: Jungkook and IU.

“I had Jungkook and IU on my mind, who do I want to feature on this song?” he said. “Jungkook sang the guide for this song, and I thought he did a great job. I even considered having him in the music video, but then IU agreed to join me.”

IU, who is a fan of BTS and Suga, said that she was honored to be part of the project. She praised Suga’s lyrics and production, and said that she enjoyed working with him. She also revealed that she recorded her parts remotely due to scheduling conflicts.

The music video for People Pt. 2 (feat. IU) was released on April 7, 2023, along with the song. IU does not appear in the video, but her voice is heard throughout the song.

People Pt. 2 (feat. IU) is the first pre-release track from Suga’s solo album, D-Day, which will be released on April 21, 2023.

Suga said that D-Day is a personal and experimental album that showcases his musical growth and diversity. He said that he hopes his fans will enjoy his new songs and support his solo activities.

D-Day will be available on various streaming platforms on April 21, 2023. You can also watch the music video for People Pt. 2 (feat. IU) on YouTube now.
