Jeon Jungkook – the maknae of the biggest boy group in the world (BTS), ruled as a solo artist in 2022. Even though the 25-year-old singer is yet to make his solo debut, he was part of three successful songs as a solo artist – Stay Alive, Left And Right, and Dreamers.
“Stay Alive” is a song recorded by the artist as the original music for Hybe and Naver Webtoon’s joint webtoon 7Fates: Chakho. Jungkook also collaborated with American artist Charlie Puth on the song “Left & Right.” More recently, the Korean singer contributed to the FIFA World Cup 2022 soundtrack and released the accompanying single “Dreamers.” All of these songs broke records as the highest-debuting songs by a Korean soloist on the Spotify Global chart. Jungkook also became the most streamed K-Pop soloist of the year as a result of the immense success and popularity of all three of these songs.
Jungkook’s Self-Produced and Self-Composed Song Achieves Big
The songs that Jungkook self-penned and produced are adored by fans, non-fans, and idols alike. Despite being released more than two years ago, Jungkook’s self-produced, self-composed, and self-sung song “Still With You” is still thriving and well-liked.
With nearly 20M streams, Jungkook’s song “Still With You” was the most streamed pop song on SoundCloud in 2022.
Jungkook‘s song “Still With You” was also named the “Buzziest Drop” and the “Longest Reign” of 2020. The song received the most listener engagement in a single day and held the top spot on SoundCloud’s New & Hot Chart for two weeks in a row. The song broke several records, including the fastest song to reach 1 million streams in 28 minutes, the most comments and likes received in a 24-hour period, and the fastest Korean song to receive 1 million SoundCloud likes.
