BTS’ Jungkook has the most successful week on Global Spotify

It’s been a week since BTS’s boys released another masterpiece, and the world hasn’t been the same since. ‘Stay Alive,’ the OST for BTS’ webtoon ‘7Fates: CHAKHO,’ is breaking records left, right, and center. The song features vocals from Golden Boy Jungkook, the group’s youngest member, as well as star producer and fellow BTS member Suga.

Since its release on February 11, when it became the first single by a Korean solo artist to debut at the top of the Worldwide iTunes list, the song has been relentless. On its first day, it received the most streams of any solo artist’s music, with 4.27 million streams on Spotify.

The numbers are in, and Jungkook has officially broken another milestone with the passing of the 7th-day streams. In the previous seven days, ‘Stay Alive’ has received over 18.8 million filtered streams on Spotify Global, making it the greatest debut week for a Korean solo artist. It also debuted at No. 10 on Spotify’s Global Weekly Chart, tying BLACKPINK’s Rosé, who debuted at No. 10 with her single ‘On The Ground.’

In just over a day, ‘Stay Alive’ became the fastest song to reach No. 1 on iTunes in 100 countries. It debuted at No. 1 on the global iTunes chart and No. 3 on the Spotify Global list.

With 5,73,410 followers in the first 24 hours, BTS’ Jungkook became the only Asian act to have the most followers on Spotify. With just one hit, ‘Stay Alive,’ he garnered over 1 million monthly listeners in one day. The webtoon and web novel ‘7FATES: CHAKHO’ OST Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS), sung by BTS’ Jungkook and produced by Suga, was previously released through music sites and platforms all over the world.

‘Stay Alive’ showed overwhelming musical strength by occupying the #1 spot on the worldwide music platform iTunes’ Worldwide iTunes Song Chart for ‘5 days in a row (as of February 15). Jungkook has set a new record by becoming the first Korean idol solo artist to top the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart for 5 days.
