BLACKPINK’s Rosé Opens Up About Dream Collab & A Meeting With Beyoncé

Rosé of BLACKPINK, who is also known as the Golden Voice of Korea, recently sat down for an interview with Vogue Hong Kong as she covered the magazine’s December 2022 issue. Fans are in awe of the “Gone” vocalist’s mesmerizing visuals in the new shoot, where she sports a unique black and blonde hairstyle. The singer talks about a variety of topics in the interview, from BLACKPINK’s recent comeback, tour, “Hard To Love”, to her dream collab and a “secret” meeting she had with American pop icon Beyoncé.

The “On The Ground” singer was asked, “BLACKPINK has collaborated with so many superstars like Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B, is there any artist that you dream to collaborate with?”

The vocalist and lead dancer of BLACKPINK said in her response, “I think this kind of collaboration can always create excellent synergy. Regardless of music or other aspects, they’re all opportunities for me to learn many things. Actually, the artist that I admire the most is Beyoncé since I was a child and dreamt to be a singer.”

“Before I really became a singer, I watched Beyoncé’s films and began to think: “I want to be like this” so I practiced piano very hard. Fortunately, I was able to attend an event together with Beyoncé as we’re Tiffany’s ambassadors. It’s a huge honor! “I hope we will have interesting/fun collaboration together in the future,” she said at the event. And this is the “dream collaboration” (laughs)! I really want to sing with her if there is a chance!”

Rosé was first introduced as a BLACKPINK member in 2016. She also made her official debut as a soloist last year with her first single album – R -, containing two songs “On The Ground” and “Gone”. She also released a new solo song “Hard To Love” with BLACKPINK’s second studio Album “Born Pink”.
