BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Stirs Regret But Praised For Rejecting Offer To Sing Snowdrop OST

Jisoo’s decision is unfortunate, yet her reasoning has been praised by admirers.

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo held a voice-only live broadcast on February 6 to interact with fans. Fans were startled when the female idol stated that she had been requested to sing the “FRIEND” OST for her drama “Snowdrop.”

Jisoo, on the other hand, rejected the offer because she believed that if her voice was heard in the drama; it would distract viewers and make it difficult for them to focus on the story. Jisoo went on to say that she wished to keep her character Young-ro. And the director listened to what she had to say.

Jisoo also revealed that the other three members of BLACKPINK all wanted to travel to the set of “Snowdrop” to support her, but Jisoo was concerned that she might become distracted.

“The members encouraged me that when I felt comfortable, they would come to visit me. But they couldn’t come. Because the filming set was very crowded, I didn’t think I could take care of them”.

Jisoo’s fans were disappointed to learn that she had missed her first chance to perform an OST for a drama. Fans, on the other hand, unanimously agreed that this was the correct move. For her first leading drama, Jisoo was hailed for her refinement, professionalism, and excitement. It would have been impossible for viewers to focus on Jisoo’s character if she sang the OST for the drama in which she portrays the female lead.
