BLACKPINK Lisa’s Three New Records Confirmed By Guinness World Records

Lisa of BLACKPINK – real name Lalisa Manoban – set three new world records in 2022, Guinness World Records the organization has now confirmed.

In 2022, Lisa became the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Video Music Awards. She was also the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The organization has also recognized Lisa as the most-followed K-Pop star on Instagram. They wrote, “As well as cleaning up at the MTV awards, Lisa has also been awarded the title of most followers on Instagram for a K-pop artist with 86.3 million followers as of 19 January 2023.”

Lisa of BLACKPINK is one of the representative faces of K-Pop globally. The Thai Rapper, Singer, and Dancer has been one of the most famous K-Pop stars since BLACKPINK’s debut in 2016. The 25-year-old K-Pop sensation made her solo debut in September of 2021.

Her first solo album LALISA, which only consisted of two songs, sold over 736,000 copies in its release week in South Korea, making her the first female artist to do so.

In the first 24 hours following its release, the music video for the album’s lead single with the same name received 73.6 million views on YouTube, making it the biggest music video debut by a solo artist.

The song gave Lisa the first MTV Video Music Award ever won by a K-pop soloist as well as two Guinness World Records. The second single from the album, “Money,” and “Lalisa” were both top ten hits on the Billboard Global 200.

Currently, “Lalisa” (album) and “MONEY” are the most streamed K-Pop soloist album and song on Spotify.

Lisa is, at the moment, in Paris with her group BLACKPINK to perform at a Charity event. She was spotted with Tennis Star Roger Federer And Swedish Violinist Daniel Lozakovich while in France.
