BLACKPINK’s Lisa has broken yet another record, becoming the K-Pop solo artist with the most Guinness World Records to her name. With seven world records now under her belt, Lisa has surpassed PSY, who previously held the title with five records.

On May 6th, Lisa added two more records to her collection: Fastest solo K-pop artist to reach 1 Billion streams on Spotify (female) and First album (LALISA) by a solo K-pop artist to reach 1 Billion streams on Spotify. These records add to the already impressive list of achievements Lisa has garnered throughout her career.

Some of the other Guinness World Records that Lisa holds include the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist for her first title track “LALISA,” which recorded a whopping 73.6 million views in its debut day. She also became the first solo K-pop artist to win at both the VMAs and EMAs.

Lisa’s solo debut with her single album “LALISA” in September 2021 was a massive success. She became the first female artist to sell 736,000 copies of an album in its first week in South Korea. The album’s lead single of the same name also set a record for the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours on YouTube by a solo artist.

The second single from the album, “Money,” also charted in the top 10 of the Billboard Global 200. Lisa’s success as a solo artist has not only broken records but also cemented her status as a shining star in the music industry.

In addition, Lisa is the most followed K-pop artist on Instagram, with over 90 million followers as of May 2023. She is also one of the most influential celebrities in Asia and beyond, with numerous endorsements and collaborations with global brands.
