Bianca Belair, the WWE Raw Women’s Champion, announced on her Instagram account this afternoon that she has been training for the 2022 WBFF Pro Atlantic City Pro Am. This weekend is the bodybuilding competition. In her long post, the 33-year-old stated in the first paragraph that she made her own outfits for the competition, just like her ring gear. She also wrote about her previous unhealthy relationship to food and how she overcame her fears.
I’ve been training for the @wbffentertainment Pro Atlantic City Pro Am for the past 10 weeks, and all of my hard work finally paid off this weekend! I’ll be posting more photos with results throughout the day! I made the bikini. This journey has taught me a lot about myself and how much I have grown and evolved from that little girl in high school and college who was obsessed with being the best but overtrained all the time.
The little girl who had such an eating problem and struggled with eating disorders that I couldn’t even hear the word diet without being triggered as an adult. I wanted to challenge myself, see if I could commit without going overboard, if I had learned to listen to my body, if I could diet again and maintain self-control without going overboard. Belair wrote, “I truly faced my fears with this one.” Belair last tried to defend her Raw Women’s title on WWE programming against Bayley at WWE Crown Jewel 2022.
Survivor Series: WarGames
She, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, & Mia Yim won the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series: WarGames last Saturday. Bianca Belair, the reigning WWE Raw Women’s Champion, revealed that she couldn’t hold back her tears after a recent Premium Live Event match. Becoming a part of Crown Jewel and her Last Woman Standing match with Bayley was, of course, the most important part of it all, Belair explained. I actually sobbed after the game because I had never imagined myself doing this in Saudi Arabia.
It was overwhelming to be a part of change there and to be in a Last Woman Standing match with Bayley. In 2021, Belair travelled to Saudi Arabia with WWE for the Crown Jewel premium live event in Riyadh. That night, Belair faced Sasha Banks and champion Becky Lynch in a triple threat match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. Belair travelled to Saudi Arabia for the second time earlier this year when The EST competed in an Elimination Chamber match at the namesake event to determine the next contender for the Raw Women’s Championship.
