Beyoncé continues to create waves in the music world, and her recent Brit Awards win just adds to her stature as a global icon. On Saturday, February 11th, the “Crazy in Love” singer got two prizes for “Break My Soul,” International Artist of the Year, and International Song of the Year.
But was unable to attend in person. She did, however, make her presence known by delivering a magnificent and pre-recorded acceptance speech that left her supporters speechless.
The pop artist looked spectacular on the red carpet in a stunning black-and-white two-piece ensemble. Fans got a better look at her dress, which was a mix of stripes and checkers with a black corset around her waist, thanks to her Instagram images.
The bell sleeves were likewise black and white striped and fashioned of a faux-fur material, which added a touch of glam to the whole design. The matching slacks were form-fitting and had a large opening over her feet. In one photo, she complemented her look with black statement earrings, sunglasses, and a matching hat.
Beyoncé acknowledged her gratitude for the honor and thanked her British friends for their continuing support over the years in her acceptance speech. She also teased her upcoming Renaissance world tour; which will begin in Europe in May and conclude in North America in September. The singer’s last solo tour, the Formation World tour, was six years ago, thus the tour is much anticipated.
Furthermore, Beyoncé’s achievement at the Brit Awards comes only days after she created Grammy history; becoming the most awarded artist in Grammy history with Renaissance; which won best R&B song, best dance/electronic recording; best dance/electronic album, and best traditional R&B performance. With such illustrious accomplishments, it’s no surprise that Beyoncé continues to captivate audiences and dominate the music business.
