Along with directing the film, Zach Cregger is also the writer of the film. The movie stars Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgård, Justin Long, Richard Brake, Kurt Braunohler, Jaymes Butler & Matthew Patrick Davis.
20th Century studios tweeted the trailer with the caption,” The sun has set… Perfect time to re-watch the new trailer for #Barbarian🏠😏 Only in theatres August 31.”
The film consists of producers & executive producers from various well-known horror films like The Ring, The Grudge & IT. So the audience can expect something really unique & thrilling to come their way.
The trailer begins with heavy rainfall and a girl named Tess arrives at a house that she has booked at 476 Barbary. But when she can’t get in the house though, then she rings the bell a guy named Keith opens the door saying that he is renting the place.
Tess gets confused as she has already booked the house but the guy is saying something different. He then welcomes Tess in to sort the matter out. The music starts playing in the background of “our house” by Crosby. Stills, Nash & Young, and discuss where both of them should sleep. Keith also warns Tess about she shouldn’t be going out at night as it’s not safe out there.
Keith decides to sleep on the couch whereas Tess is in a bedroom. After such a normal conversation and good music playing in the background. Suddenly in the middle of the night, the door opens, and Tess can hear someone’s footsteps (as if someone was running outside).
She comes out of the room to find Keith but couldn’t find him. She opens an unknown door which seems like a basement door & hears Keith screaming for “help”. She jumpscares as she sees Keith.
The trailer concludes with some spooky glimpses & tape playing, where the tv narrator says,” This process might seem overwhelming but with a little practice, it can soon become a pleasurable experience.”
