Backstreet Boys Welcomes Drake At Budweiser Stage As 6th Member Of The Band

The crossover we never expected has already happened and it was quite a surprise for the audience, as Drake joined the Backstreet Boys at the Toronto concert.

On 2nd July the Backstreet Boys performance was held at the Budweiser stage in Drake’s hometown Toronto, Canada. Further during the performance, the backstreet boys introduced their temporary 6th member which was none other than Drake. He came on stage to perform “I want it that way” with the Backstreet Boys.

As Drake was onstage he also explained why this song is so dear to him. He spoke about how a girl he loved the most approached him to dance with her while “the greatest song” in the world was playing, that’s when he felt acknowledged.

Drake said, ” At 13 years old, I had a bar mitzvah, and at my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this girl I was in love with came up to me while one of the greatest song in the world”I want it that way” was playing and she asked me If I could dance with her.”

He further mentioned how for the first time he knew that he had a “shot at being cool”.

Before the track started Drake shouted with full enthusiasm,” And if she can see me now, you know what I’m talking about?” Fans got a lovely performance of the iconic crossover of Drake and the Backstreet Boys.

It was not revealed how this collaboration took place but one of the sources told Variety about Kevin Richardson unexpectedly meeting Drake at a restaurant in Toronto at dinner, so maybe that might be a reason.

The Backstreet boys shared a short clip from the iconic performance they wrote in the caption,” What’s better than I Want It That Way?”

Drake also shared a snippet of him singing the song with the Backstreet Boys, followed by a unique caption, “When she says she’s over men in this generation and asks why I live alone..”

Recently Drake also released his 7th studio album “HONESTLY, NEVERMIND“, which you listen, to here.
