Mandy Rose

Backstage Information Regarding Mandy Rose’s WWE Release And NXT Title Loss

Mandy Rose is still the topic of conversation in the world of professional wrestling. On Tuesday’s “NXT” episode, the former “NXT” Women’s Champion lost the title she had held for 413 days to Roxanne Perez, and after that, WWE reportedly released her due to suggestive content on her online subscription service.

Dave Meltzer gave more details about Rose’s release on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, including how NXT president Shawn Michaels became aware of her content. There must have been a meeting because Matt Bloom brought Shawn Michaels’ information about what she has been posting on her subscription service. “The game was scheduled for January 10.” I think Perez was going to win the title when they changed the title, but that wasn’t going to happen.

Naturally, they fired her as soon as they obtained the title from her. Although Rose’s subscription service had existed throughout her reign as champion, Meltzer said that WWE couldn’t ignore her recent content. According to Meltzer, “the feeling was that she way, way, way crossed the line.” And in that circumstance, they felt they had no choice but to get rid of her. Rose thanked the public for their support when she made her first remarks about being fired earlier today. She also stated that she has no plans to delete her page.

NXT Women’s Championship

Rose has held the NXT Women’s Championship since Halloween Havoc on October 26, 2021, when she defeated Raquel Rodriguez. Satomura had held the NXT UK Women’s Championship since June 2021, when she crushed Kay Lee Ray, now recognised as Alba Fyre, on NXT 2.0. Satomura created her WWE debut in the second Mae Young Classic in 2018. Satomura created her NXT 2.0 debut on the August 24 episode, appearing during an in-ring segment with Rose and Davenport.

Davenport decided to make her NXT 2.0 debut on August 17th, when she emerged in a backstage section with Indi Hartwell. The Unified NXT Women’s Title fight was the night’s second unification title match. Pretty Deadly defeated the NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers, the NXT UK Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, and Gallus to become the Unified NXT Tag Team Champions. The event was held at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
