Backstage Information On Ric Flair’s Last Match Card Changes

As the dust settles from Ric Flair’s Last Match, more information about last-minute changes that impacted the show has emerged. According to reports, the Von Erichs Marshall and Ross Von Erich, who were defeated by the Briscoes Jay & Mark Briscoe in a tag team match such as through pinfall, had their flight from Hawaii to the event delayed.

Dave Meltzer stated that the fight was supposed to take place earlier in the show, but due to the delays, the card was changed so that the match would take place later than originally scheduled. Meltzer also disclosed that MLW’s Alex Hammerstone was scheduled to appear on the show, and yet his flight was completely cancelled, causing him to miss the segment he was scheduled for with Frank the Clown, which ended up being with Jacob Fatu instead.

In terms of injuries sustained during the event, Meltzer stated that Ric Flair, who competed for 27 minutes alongside Andrade El Idolo against Jeff Jarrett as well as Jay Lethal, was fine. The 73-year-old, who put WWE Hall of Famer Jarrett to earn for his team, appeared to fight and was smashed open during fight. Meltzer did observe that Flair did not appear to be in good health, despite being blown up during the match.

Rachel Ellering, on the other hand, suffered a badly sprained ankle while competing for the Impact Knockouts Championship against champion Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo. Returning to Flair’s final appearance inside the squared circle, Meltzer revealed that, based on the feedback, fans who saw the main event live in attendance at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium considered it was a great match.

Those who witnessed at home, on the other hand, thought it was an absolutely awful fight, separating opinion. Meltzer called Flair’s latest farewell one of the saddest things he’d seen in wrestling in a long period of time. Ric Flair, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer and 16-time World Champion, has commented on the potential of Vince McMahon joining his July 31st match. Flair stated, “I’m trying to get Vince to come to Nashville right now.” I’d like him to roast me.

He definitely have enough in the real life! ‘ You stupid son of a b*tch, these heels don’t draw. Never bring a lawyer to my office. I dislike lawyers. Who are all these two scumbags? McMahon resigned as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors less than 2 months ago. He finally retired from all jobs in the company on Friday, which include his position as head of creative. Stephanie McMahon & Nick Khan, Vince’s girl, have chosen to take over as co-CEOs of WWE, and Stephanie’s husband and 14-time World Champion, Triple H, has taken over as the company’s creative director.
