Ayushmann Khurrana reveals he has faced casting couch, narrates his story
Just like many other newcomers, actor Ayushmann Khurrana revealed that he too has faced casting couch in the industry!
Casting couch is something that happens with too many newcomers in the entertainment industry. But there are very few who open up and talk about it. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has now revealed that he too had faced it in the initial days of his career.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, the actor revealed, “A casting director had told me, ‘I’ll give you the lead role if you showed me your tool.’ I told him I’m straight and I politely refused his offer.”
Ayushmann went on to talk about how there used to be auditions where they would take solo tests earlier. “Then suddenly, the number started increasing and there would be 50 people in the same room. When I protested, they asked me to leave. So I have faced rejections,” he added.
The actor also accepted that he is now well equipped to handle failure because of the failures he saw at the very beginning of his career. He said, “Had I never witnessed the lows, I don’t think I would be able to handle it if it came now. Everything changes every Friday. I have just been lucky to have a few great Fridays in the last two-three years.”
Ayushmann Khurrana is currently one of the most popular actors of B-town. He is not just known for his hit films but also for his versatile roles.
