August Alsina addressed the controversy around his past relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith. He responded hours after Jada confirmed their relationship on her show.
The singer took to Twitter just hours after Jada’s confession on her Facebook Watch series, The Red Table Talk. Alsina wrote saying imagine not knowing how to mind the business you are paid for. He said he catches all the subliminals and he says anybody can call him anything they like. Explaining further he said it is a mess when someone is inserting themselves in topics they have nothing to do with.
Alsina said, “Go play w/ ya MAMMY! Not me!” He added, “If you have something to say, say it w/ ya CHEST kids. It’s always very perplexing cause I real deal be showing people genuine love. Whole time that envy eating ya lil heart. Anyway, NEXT!!”
August also spoke about his rumored relationship with Keke Palmer. One of the fans tweeted a photo of the couple sitting in the car asking if it is her. Keke agreed saying August was never her man that is why they are still reaching to figure out nothing.
Alsina responded to this saying she is right and he was never her man. He further wrote, You could possibly never shortie. It seems u mad u got curved, but ur ‘friends’ r the reason 4 that. Dey showed me an endless thread of txt/pics of me dat u sent, wrry’d abt who i date &BEGGED me 2 not further disturb ur mental instability.”
Keke revealed that she wanted to post screenshots but she is deciding against it since Alsina has been wound up with his Jada’s Red Table Talk. She said she would not feel good kicking a man when he is down because it gets easy to attack when someone is in a corner. The Joyful Noise actress wrote. “People be hurting y’all and most of the time it has nothing to do with you.”
Jada admitted to being in a relationship with August Alsina. She revealed that she developed a friendship with the singer four years ago.
Although, the couple also said that they were going through a very hard time back then. They said that they were “basically broken up”. The revelation comes after the couple denied the rumors about August receiving Will’s blessing for dating Jada.
In the recent episode of the Facebook Watch, the couple sat in front of each other as they cleared the air. They further reaffirmed their commitment to each other. Jada revealed that August and she met through her son Jaden. She recalled him being sick at the time. Jada said that it all started with him just needing some help. She further confirmed that her wanting to help his mental state is what started the relationship.
‘The outpouring for him from our family was initially about his health,’ she said. ‘We found all those different resources to help pull him through and from there you and I were going through a very difficult time.’
Will admitted that he was done with Jada at that time. Meanwhile, Jada decided to take some time off separately. Will pushed Jada asking her what she does after that. She confessed that she went on to have a different type of entanglement with August.
Jada Clearing The Air
Jada corrected the rumors about Will giving his blessing to August to be in a relationship with him saying it is untrue. She further explained she understands why he would think that. ‘The only person that can give permission in that circumstance is myself,’ she insisted.
Jada further explained that they were separated which made August think Will gave his permission. She also said that August wanted to make clear he is not a homewrecker. Will further pushed Jada to explain what she means by an ‘entanglement’. She responded saying it was a relationship.
The host went on to explain that she was in a lot of pain and broken. She said she understood in the process of that relationship that you cannot find happiness outside of you. Jada further explained they were going through a healing process. She said, ‘I just wanted to feel good, It had been so long since I felt good… and it was really a joy to just help heal somebody.’
While Will admitted to being a dutiful husband and standing by Jada during her ‘transgression’, Jada says her relationship with August wasn’t a transgression. She explained that throughout her journey she learned a lot about herself. The host continued that she was able to confront a lot of emotional immaturity and insecurity.
Jada sais as time progressed she learned a lot about her and Will and by that time August decided to break all communication. She continued saying she has not talked to him ever since and, weirdly, he brought that up all these years later. Will agreed that it is a long time back for him.
