Aruna Bhatia, Akshay Kumar’s mother has died, the actor adds “she was my core”
On Wednesday, Akshay Kumar shared the heartbreaking news that his mother, Aruna Bhatia, had passed away. After learning of his mother’s hospitalisation, the actor returned from the United Kingdom this week.
Akshay’s mother was in the intensive care unit (ICU) receiving treatment for her sickness. Over the last three days, Akshay’s fans have been praying for his mother’s recovery, and the actor has lately acknowledged this. The actor, on the other hand, informed his fans of his mother’s unfortunate loss on Wednesday morning.
She Was My Core
Akshay disclosed in a post on his Instagram account, “She was my core. And today, I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My Maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”
Celebrities expressed their condolences in the comments section after learning of his mother’s death. Jacqueline Fernandez, Jatin Sarna, and Manish Malhotra were among the first to react to Akshay’s mother’s death and express their sorrow.

Akshay had written a letter on Tuesday thanking fans for their wishes for his mother. He wrote, “Your concern for my mother’s health has moved me beyond words. This is a particularly trying time for me and my family. Every single one of your prayers would be really helpful “.. Akshay and his mother were incredibly close. He also shared images with her on social media on occasion.
The actor was in the UK filming for Jackyy Bhagnani’s film when he heard of his mother’s illness. Akshay dropped out of the filming in the middle and returned to Mumbai this week to be with his mother.
