According to a statement made by Bighit Entertainment, the hero wrote the song to communicate his true thoughts with fans. The title “On the Street” alludes to J-Hope’s upbringing, which drove him to pursue a career as an artist.
The agency also expressed their hope that the song will be a meaningful present to everyone who has supported the artist. Fans are concerned about the idol’s military enrollment, but they are overjoyed to receive the idol’s final presentation before he departs for a while.
J-Hope also appeared live on the South Korean social networking app Weverse, where he conveyed his gratitude to his followers; and requested them to support him by filling the comment box with purple hearts.
