Aashiqui fame Anu Aggarwal opens up on her casting couch experience
Former Bollywood actress Anu Aggarwal, who is known for the romantic film Aashiqui, has talked about facing casting couch in the industry.
The former Bollywood actress Anu Aggarwal has a different take on casting couch happening in the entertainment industry. She feels that the girl is always the boss, who can choose what she wants.
In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, she has talked about her experience. When asked if she has faced casting couch, she said, “Not really. But yes one director, a top one, had come to my house citing he has a role for me. He came to my house and took out the whiskey bottle. It was in the afternoon hour.”
Anu went on to add, “How can someone come to the house with a bag of whiskey to tell the story, so I made some reason and had to politely ask him to leave. I told him off. That is what I am trying to say, women always has the choice.” The actress also explained how she has interacted with other girls and that many of them have been hit on be men.
She said, “I used to talk to girls earlier, and they would say this guy tried to hit on me and the whole thing about Bollywood, and the whole Me Too thing, and guys hitting on girls, I just feel guys will hit on girls. I have been getting hit at since I was 13 years old. I had no idea how to handle all this.”
Anu feels that eventually the girl is the boss unless a guy forces himself on her. Otherwise, the girl has to say yes for a guy to do anything with the girl.
Talking about the former actress, she had shot to fame with Mahesh Bhatt’s 1990 film Aashiqui.
