Anil Kapoor shares how he proposed to Sunita Kapoor just after signing a big film

Bollywood star Anil Kapoor has been married to Sunita Kapoor for thirty six years now and the couple is going strong!

Bollywood couple Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor have been married to each other for 36 years now. They are celebrating their wedding anniversary today. But before the special day Anil Kapoor shared a special message, revealing how he had proposed to her.

Anil shared a voice note along with a beautiful picture with his wife. In his voice note, we can hear him saying, “This is the beginning of a long love story… On the night of 17th May, I signed an important film which was a big step in my career, and on 18th May I took an even bigger step…I proposed to my girlfriend Sunita and asked her to be my wife… People celebrate anniversaries, we celebrate the proposals as well! And we never let ourselves forget how fortunate we are to have so much to be grateful for!”

The film he was talking about is Meri Jung, which was a life-changing film for him. After signing the film, Anil had proposed to Sunita. They had been dating each other for 10 long years at that time.
