Amy Schumer Reveals Why She Deleted Her Hilaria Baldwin Posts

Amy Schumer has revealed why did she share and delete several social media posts about Hilaria Baldwin. The star shared about her decision to remove her Instagram posts about Hilaria.

Baldwin was recently accused of fabricating her heritage. Amy told Entertainment Tonight that she did it because people got very upset with her. back in December, Hilaria had shared a snap of herself holding her baby boy while posing in lingerie on Instagram.

The Mom Brain podcast co-host welcomed her fifth child with Alec Baldwin son Eduardo Edu Pao Lucas. She joked in the caption that she cannot stop smelling her baby. Amy is also a new mom as she has a 20-month-old, Gene David. She had reposted the photo od Hilaria and Edu on her Instagram.

The star joked that it was a mother-son image of herself. Amy revealed that she thought it was funny for her then she saw that Hilaria posted a video and seemed upset. She was upset about the comments she was getting. The comedy star shared that she did not want to be mean and seemed like she hurt her feelings.

Amy said, “I just thought that was a little funny, and then I saw that she made a video and she seemed a little bit upset. Not at me, but about the comments she was getting. I was just like, ‘I don’t want to be mean,’ and she seemed like maybe it hurt her feelings, so I just took it down.”

However, later on the same month, Hilaria was trendind for the wrong reasons as social media users alleged that she fabricated her Spanish roots and a Spanish accent. In the middle of this, Amy had shared another post which was about Hilaria.

“I just felt like everybody else watching it”

Schumer informed ET that she has since removed the post because she wanted to take herself out of narrative. She shared how amazing Hilaria is and that she only wishes her and her family the best. The actress hoped that Baldwin gets to visit Spain as much as she wants.

According to Schumer, she thought they “were just playing with each other, and then the whole Spain thing came out.” She shared how she thought everybody else watching it might wonder what is going on.

Amy had written that she loves Spain but it became a problem and people were upset. The star shared, “I just felt like everybody else watching it. Just like, ‘What is going on?’ I thought we were still kinda playing, so I wrote, ‘Hey, look, I love Spain too.’ But then it became this whole big thing and people were really upset so I just took it down [too].”

The creator clarifies that she did not mean to harm Hilaria in anyway. She said that Hilaria is a mom so she does not want them to go through bad time. The actress shared, “So I just — I don’t want them to be going through a bad time. But also, you can’t just pretend you’re from Spain.”

Amy had apologized to Hilaria after she released a video addressing her reporst and the body-shaming that she got from social media users. Hilaria had also addressed the controversy around her heritage as she confirmed on her social media that she was born in Boston. She also revealed that her birth name is Hillary as she addressed the situation.

The mother of five said that she has seen all the questions regarding her identity and culture. She explained that this is something she takes extremely seriously. Baldwin further said, This is something I take very seriously, and for those who are asking — I’ll reiterate my story, as I’ve done many times before,” she wrote. “I was born in Boston and grew up spending time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain. My parents and sibling live in Spain and I chose to live here, in the U.S.A.”
