American Idol’s Caleb Kennedy, 16, has apologized for ‘disappointing’ fans and making ‘people lose their respect for me’ after the controversial online video featuring him surfaced.
Caleb Kennedy, 16, the finalist of the American Idol Top 5, announced on May 12 that he had been removed from the competition while apologizing for appearing in a controversial online video that day.

“Hello, this will surprise you, but I will no longer be on American Idol,” Caleb said.
“There was a video that came from the internet and it showed things that were not meant to be taken in any wrong way. I was young and did not think about these actions, but that is no excuse. ”
What Is In The Controversial Video?
The video in question was widely circulated online and allegedly showed Caleb with his friend wearing what seems to be the Ku Klux Klan apparel. However, because Caleb is still young, we will not be able to provide the readers with the clip.
“I want to apologize to all my fans and to everyone I have disappointed,” Caleb said.

Caleb comes from Roebuck, South Carolina, and impressed the American Idol judges deeply during his first audition.
