Allison Janney Talks About Personal Life On The Drew Barrymore Show

Allison Janney gets real about what she feels regarding not getting married or finding the right match until now.

The 61-year-old actress appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, April 6, when presenter Drew Barrymore asked Allison, who has never been married or had children, whether the actor no longer wanted those things in her life.

‘I’ll Be Just Fine’

“Well, I think that if I had found the right guy at the right time who wanted to have children, maybe I could have, and the right partner, because I was never confident that I wanted to have children,” Allison explained. “I’d rather regret having no children than have children and then regret it. I’m OK with it.”

She continued, “I really am, this time in my life, getting to know who I am and what I want. So, I’d love to eventually find someone to share my life with, but if it doesn’t happen, I think I’ll be just fine. But it would be nice.”

Love Life

Allison joked that she was currently “in love” with the people she watched on television, and that Rip Wheeler in Yellowstone, actress Cole Hauser, was her latest crush at the moment.

The West Wing alum went on to share a harrowing—or perhaps we should say, “hair-owing”—moment from her past when a hair mishap kept her from getting her flirt on.

“One time, I was flirting with this guy,” Allison began, which is always the sign of a great story. “I was walking down the street in New York, and I was just kind of putting my hands through my hair, and two extensions came out, and I was just dropping them on the ground.” She went on to call it one of her “low moments.”
