Aditya Roy Kapoor Rumored To Be The Male Lead In Upcoming Shootout Franchise Movie

In 2007 the brilliant filmmaker Sanjay Gupta released the first movie in the Shootout franchise.

The first movie was called Shootout at Lokhandwala which was a very successful movie at the box office. This was followed by the second movie in the Shootout franchise Shootout at Wadala that released in 2013.

Last year, it was made official that the filmmaker had already begun working on the third part of the franchise.

Reports And Rumors

If reports and rumors are anything to go by, it is reported that the upcoming movie will apparently be based on the 1992 shootings that happened at JJ Hospital in Mumbai.

There are some reports swirling around that the makers of Shootout are looking for their male lead for the upcoming movie and Aditya Roy Kapoor is the top priority.

According to sources of BollywoodHungama tabloid, “It seems like Malang star Aditya Roy Kapur is in demand for action movies. Right after Malang, he signed OM: The Battle Within. Now we hear that the makers of the Shootout franchise have roped in Aditya Roy Kapur to headline the project. While his role details are kept under wraps, it surely is interesting to see him join the franchise.”

Shootout 3: Gang Wars Of Bombay

Earlier in March 2021, a source confirmed the story and title of the movie to tabloid Bollywood Hungama. “Currently, the industry expects the film to be based on a 1992 shooting that took place at JJ Hospital between members of Dawood Ibrahim gang and Arun Gawli’s gang. With so much at stake, the film is titled Shootout 3: Gang Wars of Bombay, ”the report said.

Storyline

The 1992 shootout at JJ Hospital was the result of the murder of Dawood Ibrahim’s brother-in-law Ibrahim Parkar, allegedly by four members of Arun Gawli’s gang.

In retaliation for Parkar’s murder, Dawood’s men attacked the two assailants – Shailesh Haldankar and Bipin Shere – while they were being treated at JJ Hospital.

Shootout 3 is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.
