As it starts its formal journey to WrestleMania, WWE will stage it’s annual Royal Rumble premium live event this Saturday. According to a recent rumour, the organization has known for some time who they want to win the two Royal Rumble matches.
The Royal Rumble is the second-largest WWE event of the year, and wrestling fans from across the world are eager to see the main event at WrestleMania 39. WWE used to debate who should win the main event contest, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem this year. The outcome of the men’s and women’s Rumble contests was decided by WWE several weeks ago.
Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley are mentioned in the report as the current favourites, but there is no assurance that they will be the two chosen for 2023. Since he declared his intention to compete for the WWE Championship last year, Cody Rhodes has been the Rumble favourite among many fans.
Royal Rumble 2023
Cody, who unfortunately sustained a pec injury before going to Hell in a Cell 2022, appears ready to dominate when he returns this Saturday. Even though WWE may have chosen the winners of the Royal Rumble, talent will still be giving it their utmost to stand out. Also working hard to get ready for the Rumble is Rhea Ripley. She said there are no “ifs, ands, or buts” about 2023 being her year in an interview.
In a WWE video, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio of The Judgment Day were shown practising in the ring in preparation for the 2023 Royal Rumble. Ripley confirmed that her “Dom-Dom” will compete in the men’s Rumble bout. The match favours Ripley, based on the most recent betting odds.
Ripley also said that this time she wouldn’t be a “team player” because she placed second in the 2021 Rumble match. The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, will host the 36th annual Royal Rumble this coming Saturday. It isn’t surprising given that the show also promoted other well-known athletes like Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Bobby Lashley, and Seth Rollins.
