The second wave of the coronavirus delayed plans in most entertainment industries. TV shows however were able to shoot as thrg decided moving to Gujarat, Daman, Silwasa, etc. but their counterpart filmmakers preferred to wait until the situation improves to some extent.
Fortunately, now the cases of Covid-19 are steadily reducing and the giverbment must also be planning to proceed to the lockdown unlock strategy.
Easing Restrictions
This means that districts and cities, with the lowest number of cases and the lowest number of positive ones will end up at level 1, and can be fully opened.
In the meantime, those cities and regions at level 5 will have more restrictions. Mumbai, the hub of the bollywood film industry is ranked Level 3. According to the rules, filming can be resumed in Maharashtra, the state capital, but this can only happen in the bubble. Also, it should be wrapped up before 5: 00 pm.
Film Shootings Resume
Just the last week, the shooting of Maharaja, the film featuring “Aamir Khan’s Son Junaid”, and produced by Yash Raj Films resumed. This week, Akshay Kumar is expected to appear on the sets of the upcoming film, Aanand L Rai’s Rakshabandhan.
Many movies have even been completed and released, but most of them as you might expect, decided to wait until the city went to Level 2 or Level 1.
Aamir Khan Back To The Sets
And now it turned out that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan would follow in the footsteps of his son to start shooting got hid upcoming project. A source says, ” Aamir will be shooting his ambitious film Laal Singh Chadda in Mumbai.
Interestingly, yesterday Aamir Khan played chess with the chessboard wizard Viswanathan Anand. He was in this collaboration and confirmed to me that he intends to continue shooting today. Aamir Khan is shooting the movie Laal Singh-Chaddha in Ladakh. The star was supposed to visit the territory of the union in the first week of May 2021 for shoot.
Laal Singh Chadda will also play Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya and is scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2021. However, the second wave led to the postponement of planned dates. Now let’s see if Laal Singh Chaddha will hit the movies this year, or if it will be moved to 2022.
