A Character in Doctor Strange 2 Is As Powerful As An Infinity Stone

Doctor Strange is back in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, his second solo film, which will also feature the introduction of a character that is as powerful as an Infinity Stone.

The Infinity Stones and Thanos’ quest to acquire them so he could “bring balance to the universe” controlled the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but now that the Stones have been returned to their proper places in time and space and Thanos has been defeated, Phase 4 is focusing on a much larger and more complex concept that has the possibility to unleash even more chaos: the multiverse.

Phase 4 of the MCU covers TV series and movies, and it has been addressing the dangers of the universe in various ways across these media. Spider-Man: No Way Home was the most recent multiversal adventure, in which a botched spell from Doctor Strange opened the gates of the multiverse.

This allowed Spider-Man villains from previous films to join the MCU, and these events will have a direct impact on the upcoming MCU film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi, will pick up where Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home left off, as both films significantly messed with the fabric of space and time and will see Stephen Strange unleash unspeakable evil. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) will return in Doctor Strange 2, as will America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), better known as Miss America.

America’s purpose in Doctor Strange 2 is uncertain, and she was only seen briefly in the first teaser, but based on her powers in the comic, she’ll be a character with the power of an Infinity Stone, which means she might be crucial in helping Strange in this new journey.

America Chavez grew up in the Utopian Parallel, a reality that lived outside of time and in the presence of the Demiurge. After the Utopian Parallel was threatened and her moms sacrificed themselves to defend it, America went away and adopted the mantle of Miss America and fought as a superhero, adopting the mantle of Miss America and acting as a superhero.

America’s powers include the ability to kick open star-shaped holes in reality so she (and her companions) can travel through the multiverse, the ability to make an enemy explode into tiny star fragments with a punch, and the ability to move at superhuman speeds. In terms of movement, these abilities make her similar to the Tesseract/Space Tone, but America has the added bonus of tearing through the cosmos as well as traveling across distinct universes.
