Naomi

A Backstage Update On Naomi’s WWE Status

In the past, people like Paul Heyman and Jey Uso have speculated about Naomi, Jimmy Uso’s wife, joining The Bloodline, arguably WWE’s most potent faction since The Shield. The Usos said on Monday’s “Raw is XXX” special episode that “every generation of The Bloodline” will be present for Roman Reigns’ “acknowledgement ceremony,” so could Naomi finally make a return to WWE television to embrace her family?

Naomi reportedly has “maintained positive contact” with WWE since her departure from the company on May 16, 2022, and a WWE executive reportedly told a news outlet that they are “confident” she will eventually make a comeback. The unnamed WWE executive was asked about Naomi’s potential appearance on Monday’s “Raw is XXX” in Philadelphia, but he declined to provide a timetable.

The report also stated that at the time of Naomi’s walkout, her contract was “close to expiring” and that “both sides appeared excited” about reaching a long-term deal. Before she and Sasha Banks abruptly left the negotiations, Naomi was reportedly on her way to “the biggest money contract of her career.” To be fair, Rhea Ripley confronted The Bloodline on last week’s “WWE Raw,” and on Tuesday, she even went so far as to mock Solo Sikoa on social media.

NJPW’s plans for Banks

As The OC added Mia “Michin” Yim to their ranks during their conflict with The Judgment Day, fans have speculated that The Bloodline may recruit a female member to confront Ripley. On May 15, 2022, Naomi and Banks competed in their final match for the WWE, defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Shayna Baszler & Natalya. Due to alleged creative differences, Naomi and Banks would leave WWE the very next night.

Although NJPW’s plans for Banks are currently unknown she is reportedly scheduled to appear at Wrestle Kingdom 17 fans are undoubtedly hoping they involve her making a comeback in the ring. The rumour that Banks was planning a return to the squared circle was strengthened when he was recently photographed working out in Mexico with legendary WCW cruiserweight Juventud Guerrera.
