Lady Gaga Jokes She’s Releasing “New Single” And Encourages People To Vote
Lady Gaga is doing everything she can to get you to vote this year. She is using her platform to make you see how important it is.
The singer took to her social media and released a “new single” jokingly. She shared a video on Twitter on Thursday. The Rain On Me singer captioned her post saying she knows it is cheesy but “ https://ladygaga.turbovote.org/ is easy”. The popstar further added that this is her new single with a laughing emoji and told her fans to not give up.
Gaga also wrote how important it is that their voices are heard. In the video, she was donning a pink sweater, pairing it with her glasses. She said, “Hi, this is Stefani Germanotta, otherwise known as Lady Gaga, and I wrote a single about voting.”
The singer started playing her piano and started singing her ballad. “Do you know how to vote / I know a place you can go / It’s called turbovote.org.” She further continued to spell the website for her fans.
Gaga further sang, “They’ll help you register / Inform you how to vote / Help tell you where to go / I know some of you still don’t know.” She concluded her ballad by singing, Have your state [ID] or driver’s license / They’ll need your name and birthday / And, so you all avoid a mess / Have the last four digits of your social security number / And you’ll need your home address / I know this is cheesy / But turbovote.org is easy.”

Just a day before her “new single” Gaga posted another video on her Twitter and advised people to take the initiative this year. The singer captioned the post asking followers if they are nervous about this election. She mentioned the site and informed how easy it is to check voter registration.
Gaga urged her fans to make a plan on how to vote and sign up for reminders. She reminded us how there are only 21 days until the election. The singer wrote, “Just sign up, and you’re set!” The Oscar-winner actress also told her fans that for the next 21 days she wants to talk to them as Stefani.
She informed, “It’s with that name that I’m gonna vote early in California on my ballot.” The singer explained how she could not have imagined the world being the way it is right now or this country is the way it is. She shared her thoughts and said she thinks everybody feels the same way.
Further explaining, the singer said, “This is a very difficult, interesting and also charged time, but even though it’s hard and overwhelming for so many reasons … I want you to feel encouraged in that we need you here. The Grammy-winner reminded her followers the election day is on November 3.
